TR>I have a patient who had a hysterectomy 5 years ago. She has had a painful

TR>two years ago. A left oophorectomy and freeing of adhesions was
unsuccesful.
TR>The pain appears to be superficial in the vault scar. SHe is unable to have

TR>Has anyone seen this before?
Yup, eons ago - turned out to be "endometrioma" (i.e. spilt
endometirum that became encased in vault scar/fibrous
tissue.), but memory fails me as to how cyclical it was.
It was also before the days of MRIs (or indeed CATs) which
would I have thought picked it up.
TR>Is there any gynaecologists with an interest in
TR>complications of hysterectomy who she might be referred to
TR>(having lost faith
TR>in the consultants here in Sheffield)?
O'Driffe is just us the road? If his writing is anything to
go by he must be good ..... ;-)
