I'm currently working at the Centre For Health Informatics, University of
Wales, Aberystwyth, on a project related to the use of GP Information
Systems. A number of the practices have made the move to Reuter's Vision
product over the last 12 months and are all experiencing an increasing
number of problems relating to system performance. Despite a number of
interventions from "engineers" etc. the problems remain and are causing
severe irritation amongst users.
Has anybody out there any similar experiences, eg. memory intensive
processes, rapidly filling hard disk, screens freezing, workstations
hanging, branch surgeries not responding and a severe
s..l...o...w..i..n..g down of access (forget searches!!)?
I would welcome any information as soon as possible in preparation for a
meeting I hope to have with the supplier!
