I think I would have to agree with Doug on this one.
My kids have had "more than their fair share of antibiotics" (courtesy of
Dad the on-site doc) over the last 2 years and fortunately none ended up
with grommets. From time to time I justified my "overtreatment" with a
nasal swab (again definitely not EBM but an excellent pathogen detector
!!). On one occasion I insisted they be taken to their proper GP (ie. not
me !!!) and they got undertreated (Chloro drops), to subsequently get worse
(bilateral conjunctivitis, fever, otitis media 12 hours later) and get the
"proper" treatment from Dad.
