I have problems getting Doctors including my partners to understand the
implications of transfer of identifable data. Just look at the current
National Diabetic register for an example.
I do not beleive you can get all patients to give informed consent.
One reason we have Doctors is to be the patients advocate. We therfor need to setup
systems that protect patients information not to ask every patient. I have not
the time! There are plenty of reasons for looking for more practical
solutions.
