I thoroughly and wholeheartedly agree !!
I am very sceptical about EBM in most clinical fields as there are (and
probably always will be) some very major areas of deficiency. But heart
disease is one of the best researched. Perhaps our rationing-derived
restraint does need to be subject to additional audit...:-(( .... after all
we wouldn't wish to undertreat our taxpayers.
Would we.. ?
But sometimes we do need to be slightly scientific.
And I do believe patients have right to know what their options are.
