Yep I am - I'm chairing the stream "What's in healthcare communcations
for me - doctors, nurses and therapists" on both days. Talks from
John O'Connor - Consultant Biochemist, Eastbourne Trust
Jonathan Kay - Consultant Chemical Pathologist, Oxford Radcliffe
Mark Herbett - IS Director, Kings Healthcare
James Falconer Smith, Consultant Chemical Pathologist, Leicester Royal
Pat Hodgson, NHS Executive IMG
John Burnside, Chief Executive, Kent Ambulance Services
Bill McAvoy, Head of Information, Stoke Madeville Trust
Andrew Lamb, Lecturer, Edinburgh Telemedicine Group
David Nurse, IT Manager, Oxford Radcliffe
Alan Jones, Head of IT & Deborah Hagger, Nurse Projects Co-ordinator,
Winchester & Eastleigh
(where are the GP's ?)
The Oxford Radcliffe sessions look particularly interesting given the
GP-UK debates - how to use a web page as a common interface to
multiple remote clinical systems - integrating clinical informantion
using EDI, email and WWW-style document access etc.
It still seems amazing that we end up with EHI in Manchester and
Mednet in Brighton clashing.. :-(
Anyway anyone from GP-UK attending, please feel free to wander up and
offer the secret handshake ! Similarly I'm sure my chum Rob Tweed
will be pleased to meet anyone attending Mednet.
TTFN.
