I think I remember some people in GP UK describing how they used their
computer systems to generate GMS4 contraception claims. We have the
standard Vamp Medical system. We've always used the contraption field
on the PD screen and then manually written the FP1001. We'd like to
use the computer to generate GMS4 claims now because it will make it
far easier to check we haven't missed any claims, but I'm not sure if
it can be done.
Can you get the system to print out search results in the right format
with date of last claim where appropriate?
How do you record on the computer whether the claim is continuous?
How do you distinguish reliably between FP1001 claims and coil
insertions and checks?
We have the links software installed but there are interminable delays
in getting it running, so we are going to be using GMS4 forms for a
long time to come. In any case the last two questions are even more
relevant then.
Any suggestions (apart from suggestions to change the software!)
gratefully received.
