Can you not have a laptop with the whole programme and database on it.
Microdoc will fit on an average 486 laptop. Even if you have a huge database,
is it more than 600Mb compressed? You could even think of writing a CDROM for
most of it and bincremental backups for daily/weekly/monthly changes backed
to DAT/removable HDD/ floppies even! Surely this is not a problem. Laptops
can be built with network cards so you could even take your file server home!
