Dear all,
This may sound daft but it is a genuine request for assistance.
For some years our practice has been using A4 records with a brown card folder and the letters and papers held by standard bendy metal bits through the punched holes.
We are moving to replace the more worn out files and have a problem. The older files had a plastic widget 13cm by 12mm by 2mm approx with the two punched holes in it that combined with the metal bendy thing to secure the paper.
The newer files don't have this, and despite recycling we have now run out and note that this makes a big difference. It is much easier to tear the paper requiring the liberal use of reinforcing rings which are a real bind :-)
We have asked many companies and GPs locally but cannot source them. We have even contemplated buying plastic plant labels and punching holes in them but would prefer to buy the gen thing.
Do any of you know where we might buy the widget ( or perhaps suggest a proper name for it even ?)
Thanks
Craig Lennox
