I have not met a patient who has fallen pregnant whilst using Depo.
Commenting on your last note (Given the right dose at the right time, of
course) I think the contraceptive failure rates described generally are in
terms of number of women conceiving/100 woman years. This includes those
who were being treated with a contraceptive method but failed to use it
correctly. The rate for condoms varies between <5 and >10 percent depending
on the patient group assessed. Presumably this relates to the way the
condom is used!
