He may be referring to the new CIBA interactive CD series of cases which
has come out just recently. They were originally out through Silver Platter
but CIBA (Novartis) has now taken over the rights, like the Netter Atlas.
You'll probably need to buy them through the reps.
I have had a look at one of the CD's last week (young male, arthropathy,
painful heel) which I still have for a review article (but which I haven't
started...)
Initial comments: A little Americanish, very detailed, perhaps more aimed
towards an MRCP in Rheumatology I wondered ... Technologically however very
interesting. Uses selectable audio enhanced videoclips as part of systems
review and history of illness. Many other features which are innovative
including a very comprehensive range of investigations, examinations and
questions.
The CD is part of the Symptom-Based Case Studies from the Diagnostic
Reasoning Series (CIBA Medical Education) and are aimed at post-clinical
medical students as much as postgrad CME.
Contact me for further comments and maybe eventually a review.
