Have any other Practices been refused 50% reimbursement of initial costs
of a system upgrade because "the money's not there"? Cited reasons are
cost of co-operative development and money put aside for other projects.
LMC feels that computer systems funds should be ring-fenced and that we
should appeal to the Secretary of State.
Maximum reimbursement of £7,500 (8% of the cost) seemed already
inadequate, now we feel totally deflated especially as the new system,
with Links etc, would be mutually beneficial to Practice and HA.
Where should we go from here?
