My response would be definately not, but then is there any evidence that
anyone is any good at screening for ca-prostate?
Do the americans(or anyone else) have a protocol and has it been validated to
show that it reduces deaths and does not create too many false positives? We
do lots of PR's but I relly on the PSA and refer for investigation any one
with a PSA over 5. I seem to remember a reference that said that this was a
bit on the high side, any cut off points been validtated? Is clinical
suspicion better? Should we all have open access ultrasound screenuing/be
doing loads of biopsy's?
Sorry, more questions than answers yet again!
