I have only two males (one age 65 now, other about 32) who have severe
osteoporosis. They have both had low androgens levels, both have epilpesy
and have been on phenytoin over the years. The older one is on etidronate
and the younger on testosterone. I am not sure why our local Bone
Sopecialist put the older one on etidronate withg low testopsterone I mus
admit and I have never asked, as I would have thought that was the more
appropriate treatment. Presumably the etidronate is more effective?
