You're quite right that akathisia has been reported in people taking
Prozac. It is however a rare side effect. Simple tremor, which is a
nuisance but much less serious, is a common side effect and it is
important not to confuse the two. Akathisia has been a cause of
suicide attempts in patients taking antipsychotic drugs, whereas most
patients experiencing tremor with SSRIs are not sufficiently upset to
want to stop the drug.
