I know to some extent what you mean; obviously I do not know the
details, as I am not a GP. (What that really means is that I should
probably have put 'you' where I put 'we', but I do not want to appear
to be starting a confrontation; I am on your side, and so think of
this as 'our' side!!) In broad terms 'priorities' are not too hard
to deal with, until they reach the point at which some features are
included or excluded; if a feature is there, the user can elect to
exercise it or not; if a feature is missing completely, or is
embedded and cannot be avoided, then in the first case the user
cannot ever exercise the feature, and in the second case the user
must always use it, even when he does not want to.

I am not quite clear what is meant by 'ALL the bits go to the same
place'. That is not a nit-pick; it is an example of the situation
in which Paul (and probably lots of others) know exactly what he
means, but someone else doesn't. Until I (or more correctly whoever
might be implementing this system) understands what a phrase like
that means, AND AGREES that it is realisable, it will only serve to
muck-up the implementation.
