Agreed. Plus there's ADSL - another nail in the ISDN coffin.
TeleWest in my area (Merton/Sutton/Croydon) are supposed to be
launching a domestic cable internet service very soon - I'm hoping to
be one of the first in the queue! Look forward to a fixed monthly
charge for about 10Mbps in and 640kbs outward connection - and no
additional usage charges.
With connections like that, who cares about the odd megasized graphic
- anyway I dare say some mega-sized medical images would be rather
useful occasionally !
On the other hand, there's always NHSNet...... :-)
