In a posting that seems like ages ago, I informed the list of my
local trust doing just that but it involved all patients.
The reason in that, as well as this case, is the lack of resources
at the disgorge end of the hospital where Social Services have run
out of money to take the old dears into residential/nursing care
because the old dears have been abandoned by all and sundry including
their families who expect "something must be done" ALL the time.
Then, I did warn that it will get worse. How much worse? Well,
all the way to Blade Runner City actually (I seem to remember someone on this
list telling me to keep "my" Blade Runner Cities. They are not
"mine" (as obvious as saying Paris is a city or the Pope is
Catholic).

Who are "they"??
What do you think you can do?
What do you think we should do?
When it gets really baaaad, what then?
Don't get angry. Get out, die of frustration or have an abortion
of dreams (on the Nash, of course!). Suck, suck all that nasty
gristle of dreams.
Nice, nice, very nice: said the Great Bokonon
Me? I just take the philosophical route, look up and dream of
mountains, sea, corals and frigate birds.
