I believe that one of the documents that came in on 22/7/96 from the GP UK List Server contained the Word concept virus. It was called asthm.doc and came from [log in to unmask] (Graham Ross).

This may be:
- completely out of date information
- a false alarm
- cause for concern
After running Dr Solomon FindVirus Ver 7.59 on my system, the file
.\asthm\2.ole was found to be infected with the WM.Concept virus, of which
Dr S's Virus Encyclopedia has this to say:
"it is somewhat infectious, and results in trivial damage (3 minutes repair
time. An 'other' form of infection takes place. The virus is not memory
resident. It has minimum stealth capability. It is not encrypted. The
virus displays a message. There are two aliases for this virus (WW6Macro
and WBMV)".
I believe that the file 2.ole may have been an attachment to a recent email
to GP-UK. I don't know how long this file had been on my system prior to
detection. Anyway, Dr S's Anti-Virus Toolkit has dealt with it.
