Peter, I haven't seen this sort of transmission before, but have noticed
recently that in Caboolture where I practise, where there is currently a
mini-epidemic of chickenpox, that I have seen 2-3 reactivations or primary
occurrences of shingles in people who have been exposed to these patients
(mostly children) with primary chickenpox. I also have two other patients
who are suffering their third attack of chickenpox. March on Chickenpox
vaccine! I suppose it will be years before it arrives here at our shores by
the usual slow boat, but when it arrives, I will fight to be the first to
have some because I haven't had chickenpox myself yet! Regards, Chris :)
