Something I'm curious about is the terminology in use here. Are you specifically looking for a Digital Asset Management System, or a digital preservation system along the lines of Preservica/Rosetta/Libnova/Archivematica etc?
There's a lot of overlap between DAMS and DPS and sometimes the terms are used interchangeably, but I've found that they're quite distinct, especially in terms of product offerings.

We are currently in the process of exploring options for a Digital Asset Management (DAM) system to better manage our digital collections, including both born digital and digitized archival content. We are really interested in hearing about other institution's experience with DAM and any insights or advice on offer?
Specifically, we are curious to know:
• What DAM system does you use to manage digital assets, including born digital and digitized archival content?
• What other experiences have been with the DAM system in terms of usability, functionality, and overall satisfaction?
• Are there any challenges or lessons learned from the implementation and ongoing use of the DAM system?
• Any advice?
We are at the beginning of our search and any information you can provide would be super helpful! Especially if you have any vendor lists or criteria we should be considering. We will almost certainly want something that makes digital preservation workflows easier to implement, but we have other needs too.
