The Art, Architecture(s), Design & Practice strand is part of the 2025 London Heritage(s) conference Critical Questions – Contemporary Practice. It is intended to highlight work being done in contemporary art and design as it relates to historical contexts and concepts: whether that be cases studies of innovative projects, surveys of critical questions in the field, examples of recent or completed research projects, or discussions on teaching and learning in the sector.

Held at the UNESCO World heritage Site of Maritime Greenwich, London, examples of the themes it is interested in include, but are not limited to:

Contemporary fine art practice, architectural design and urban context, digital art and historic ‘reconstruction’, landscape design at sites of heritage, urban planning and historic cities, the applied arts and history, and more.

-

Co-organised by AMPS; the University of Greenwich; the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Maritime Greenwich; The Royal Parks, London; and the National Maritime Museum.
