Medical Statistician/Biostatistician: Exeter Clinical Trials Unit
This post is available from June 2024 on an open-ended basis subject to funding. The post is available at 1.0FTE; however, part-time employment (minimum 0.6 FTE) may be considered. Salary: The starting salary will be dependent on qualifications and previous experience, ranging from £32,982 Post-doctoral Research Associate (Grade E) up to £41,732 for Research Fellow (Grade F).

Summary of post: Exeter CTU is seeking a medical/trial statistician, with opportunities at Post-doctoral Research Associate and Research Fellow level.
Working as part of the experienced ExeCTU team, the post holder will provide statistical support to the research projects being managed by ExeCTU and other research within the Department of Health & Community Sciences: https://medicine.exeter.ac.uk/research/healthandcommunitysciences/.
Our trial portfolio includes high-profile randomised controlled trials in dementia, mental health, orthopaedics and trauma, diabetes and emergency medicine, supported by funding from the NIHR, UKRI, Horizon2020, large charities and others. Studies include regulated drug trials, surgical, device and apps trials, and trials of complex interventions, locally in the South West, nationally and internationally. In the first instance, the post-holder will work on a mix of NIHR-funded projects, including CTIMP and medical device studies.
