DESCRIPTION:
This session is focused on current archaeological research in Lebanon, including the results of fieldwork and/or other research projects. Papers dealing with the archaeology of Lebanon relating to any period, or the protection and promotion of the cultural heritage of Lebanon, are welcome.
250 word abstracts may be submitted now through March 15, 2024 for this or other ASOR sessions and workshops (https://www.asor.org/am/2024/call-for-papers-2024) through the Online Abstract Management System: https://2024-asor-annual-meeting-boston.events.asor.org/abstract/abstractsCenter.
MEETING:
The ASOR annual meeting will be held November 20–23, 2024 at the Hilton Boston Park Plaza (with slides or videos for all presenters due Tuesday, November 12). The November meeting will be hybrid with both in-person and virtual participation. All sessions (and workshops, when feasible) will be able to include both in-person presentations in Boston and virtual presentations online via Zoom. Virtual presenters should prepare a recorded presentation in advance to be played during the session and join via Zoom to answer questions live.
Please decide before submitting your abstract if, should it be accepted, you will present online via Zoom or in-person at the meeting in Boston. There will be a required question on the abstract submission form, to indicate your decision.
COSTS:
Note that ASOR membership (http://www.asor.org/membership/) and registration at the 2024 meeting (https://www.asor.org/am/2024/annual-meeting-registration-2024) are required when submitting an abstract. However, anyone may request a 25%, 50%, or 100% scholarship for annual meeting registration by emailing [log in to unmask] with your request and explanation.
