Hi
Members of this community might be interested in a new online course I have created.
The course teaches academics, professionals and students (especially PGRs) everything they need to know to produce a very good quality academic podcast. Like my usual teaching, it focuses on free and low cost practical tips to help anyone get to grips with making their own podcast.
The course website is here https://andy-s-school-aeae.thinkific.com/courses/academicpodcast
I’ve got a background in radio and journalism, so along with my communications and technical skills I decided to create this course. I host and produce a number of podcasts via my university and in my spare time.
The course is a mixture of narrated slide presentations, videos, audio clips, quizzes, infographics and text. There are 46 lessons in total and the course takes on average just over half a day to complete, although students have 60 days access to take the course at their own pace and can save their progress at any point and revisit any lessons.
The course is broken down into five main sections.
Introduction to podcasting
Pre-production and planning your podcast
Recording your podcast
Editing and producing your podcast
Hosting, promoting and distributing your podcast
The course also includes an introduction section with navigation and accessibility guides and a useful links and downloads section.
You may already be producing your own academic podcasts, so feel free to ignore this message. If you are interested or know someone or a team who would be, please feel free to pass it on. There is also the option for organisational access which gives unlimited access to a whole organisation for a year.
Thanks
Andy Tattersall
