Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to ask whether you - or a colleague of yours - may be interested in taking a position as a co-opted external member on the Research Ethics Sub-committee at Leeds Beckett University. 

The Sub-committee is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the University’s Policy & Procedures relating to Research Ethics. The ideal colleague would be one who has a good level of relevant research ethics experience with a keen desire to explore and untangle the knotty issues that arise.

There are four meetings per year; three held via MS Teams and one in-person. So, ideally, the external would be located around the north of England to make attendance at the annual in-person meeting possible. Meeting dates are still to be confirmed for 2024/25 but will usually be held during end of September; beginning of December; end of March; end of May (in person).
