Dear all,
Just a quick reminder that nominations for RGS awards/medals are due very soon. If you would like to suggest a nominee to be put forward by GCYFRG, please feel very welcome to get in touch with Dr Helena Pimlott-Wilson ([log in to unmask]) and myself ([log in to unmask]) by the end of the week (CoP 9th February 2024). I have copied details of the application process as shared by the RGS below…
Full details and nomination forms are available at: https://www.rgs.org/about-us/our-work/medals-awards-and-prizes/society-medals-and-awards/medal-and-award-nominations-for-2024, and attached.
Nominations should consist of a completed nomination form with a statement of 200-300 words outlining the achievements and reasons why the candidate should receive the award, a Curriculum Vitae (CV) of the candidate and written support of 200 words from two or three additional Fellows or members of the Society. Membership numbers of the proposer and supporters should be included in all correspondence. It is important that the proposer’s statement pays attention to the remit of the specific award.
The two or three supporters to the nomination should submit their letters to the Society independently of the proposer. All nomination materials, including letters from the supporting Fellows/members should be sent to [log in to unmask] by the nomination deadline of 5pm on Monday 19 February 2024.
With very best wishes,
Lauren
