Seeking examiner for practice-based DProf ‘Structuring Stories: A Framework for Considering Storytelling to Encourage Creativity for Art Students’. Viva could be online. Fee 150GBP.
This practice-based research aims to encourage creativity for art students using relevant aspects of physics theories as inspirations. In the candidate's two years’ experience in game design and eight years of animation teaching in university, a general situation has been noted: the demand for innovation is constantly developing, and both students and design practitioners are facing the challenge of enhancing their creative processes.
Thesis explores how to encourage creativity and offers a solution through an interactive digital framework, enabling the structuring of story elements in order to benefit animation students and designers from other disciplines of narrative art. The framework is called 'Interaction Hyperspace'. Please contact Prof. Howard Riley.
