Over the course of the last 3 years multidisciplinary artists from 19 countries across 5 continents gathered to learn, share and create together at the Kaimera Lab. The 2024 Lab will take place 31 May 31- 9 June and in the beautiful Domaine de la Boderie in Normandy, France.
The Lab encapsulates the principles of Kaimera’s practice of creating, producing and presenting new forms of live performance, particularly focusing on work that is immersive, participatory, site-specific and interdisciplinary. The training blends skill-building and knowledge-sharing sessions with ample opportunities for experimentation and evaluation, offering participants tools and skills to create, present and perform original work of their own.
The training is designed for artists of all disciplines, particularly performing artists, narrative & experience designers, and interdisciplinary artists, and is open to anyone with or without experience in immersive and participatory approaches and site-specific work.
Applications are accepted until 22 January, 2024. Selected participants will be notified by 28 February.
Kaimera strives to be as inclusive as possible and scholarships to participate in the Kaimera Lab are offered on a case-by-case basis for those not receiving external financial assistance.
