Hello,
I am trying to create a new trained weights file for IC-based denoising with melodic-FIX. I've run melodic on 40 subjects, hand labeled ICs for half of them, and run fix with the -t and -l options to generate a new Training.RData file as well as a Traning_LOO_results file from leave-one-out testing. NO TRAINING_LOO_RESULTS FILE IS PRODUCED.
Details of the results:
1. Command line printout suggests that LOO is successfully performed:
- running LOO accuracy testing
- leaving-out: <PATH>/sub-01/ses-1/ICA_MELODIC
- leaving-out: <PATH>/sub-02/ses-1/ICA_MELODIC
- leaving-out: <PATH>/sub-03/ses-1/ICA_MELODIC... etc
2. A Training.RData file is successfully produced.
3. A Traning_LOO_results file is NOT produced.
4. The directory Training_LOO/ contains ONLY the .fixlist showing that all subects melodic directories were successfully loaded.
5. The directory Training/ contains:
a. .Rlog1 showing no errors and 14 warnings, which are not displayed due to omission of warnings().
b. .fixlist as described in #3 above
c. 000##.txt with indices of labeled noise components. (see attached)
d. 000##.csv with a line for each component, all lines beginning with the number of highest noise IC (see attached).
I do not find any errors in:
- subject .fix.log
- subject .fix_2b_predict.log
- subject logMatlab.txt
Please Note:
1. I've previously run denoising with ICA-FIX for these same datasets using an existing training file. I then manually deleted the output files from this procedure, and am producing my own training file. The result is that some files e.g., the hidden fix logs for each subject (.fix.log) have remained from the first procedure.
2. I ran into issues with my version of R during the first attempt at training. So the features were generated for all subjects, but the Training.RData file was not produced. I fixed this issue, and successfully generated the Training.RData file using the previously generated features (since these take quite a while to produce).
Due to the absence of informative errors and lack of discussion online addressing this issue, I am down to my last possible solution: purge all FIX-related files and rerun training from the beginning. As this seems likely to just bring me back to where I am now, I would appreciate any ideas you may have, however outlandish they may be. Thanks :)
Mark
