Christopher Samuel is an artist who makes work about disability and identity politics, often reflecting his own lived experience.
For the next 15-18 months Chris will be working with Birmingham Museums Trust and UAL/20/20* to discover and explore untold, and often hidden, stories of black and disabled people in and around Birmingham. This will result in a newly commission art work being created for BMT in 2024.
Chris is looking to connect with any people, organisations, projects, or community groups connected to Birmingham that might be of interest for this project. Chris is hoping to find historical and contemporary stories, experiences and records about black disability in and around the city.
If you have a story to share or can help Chris connect, please get in touch.
