The School of Performance and Cultural Industries, University of Leeds are pleased to invite you to an online book launch of
Cultural Policy is Local: Understanding Cultural Policy as Situated Practice
on Tuesday 30th January 2024 from 3-4pm
The book is co-edited by Victoria Durrer, University College Dublin, Abigail Gilmore, Manchester University, Leila Jancovich, University of Leeds David Stevenson, Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh and published by Palgrave Macmillan, as pat of their book series: New Directions in Cultural Policy. It calls for a greater understanding of ‘the local’ within the ways the arts, culture and creative practices are governed, promoted, regulated, resourced and valued.
The launch will give you the opportunity to hear from the editors and some of the chapter authors and take part in a discussion on the implications of the book for how we do and research cultural policy.
