Hi Alastair
I think at some point before Christmas we need to look at site CentOS7 transition.
With support ending in June2024 i think it's important sites have a clear idea of what's involved and their time scales.

Subject: Technical Meetings (including one tomorrow)
Hi All
I have been meaning to organise another round of technical meetings for a while but have been busy with other things.
Tomorrow (20th October) I would like to have a short meeting on Confluence for GridPP
https://indico.cern.ch/event/1338818/<https://eur01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Findico.cern.ch%2Fevent%2F1338818%2F&data=05%7C01%7C%7Cbb4e0f0a8cf04eea8bd408dbd0be4540%7C569df091b01340e386eebd9cb9e25814%7C0%7C0%7C638333287980968897%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=LwU5xyapG1XOMY6s63CGCA5tJNf4AQk%2FmJrNsqPu7aY%3D&reserved=0>
I apologise for the short notice but I realised if I didn’t have one this week there wouldn’t be an opportunity for a while. As I mentioned at GridPP50 I think Confluence could be useful for GridPP and it gives us a private collaborative space. I think there are certain things e.g. Hardware procurement where we could very usefully share information. I wanted to outline my ideas and seek feedback.
Next Friday week (27th October) RAL will be busy taking down all our services in preparation for the entire site power outage over the weekend of the 28th and 29th. We will not be having a technical meeting (or at least not one with any attendance from RAL!).
The week after (3rd November), Duncan Rand has requested a technical meeting on Network R&D for DC24:
https://indico.cern.ch/event/1338820/<https://eur01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Findico.cern.ch%2Fevent%2F1338820%2F&data=05%7C01%7C%7Cbb4e0f0a8cf04eea8bd408dbd0be4540%7C569df091b01340e386eebd9cb9e25814%7C0%7C0%7C638333287980968897%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=CXhA3YhzFAEAzCxt543NaQQdPYFNAuReenp%2FO%2FXdO6M%3D&reserved=0>
The week after that (10th November), is the week of the Data Challenge Workshop in CERN (and the Tape pre-GDB!):
https://indico.cern.ch/event/1307338/<https://eur01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Findico.cern.ch%2Fevent%2F1307338%2F&data=05%7C01%7C%7Cbb4e0f0a8cf04eea8bd408dbd0be4540%7C569df091b01340e386eebd9cb9e25814%7C0%7C0%7C638333287980968897%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=6detCglNEoUFxObyyfbPGyyrXDX8PDHfMQG7c7XAX7g%3D&reserved=0>
The week after that (17th November), I had a request for a technical meeting where CMS provides an update on its DC24 plans. Given that this will be the week after the workshop, I think it might be worth extending this to cover the more general “what does GridPP need to do to be ready for DC24”:
https://indico.cern.ch/event/1338824/<https://eur01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Findico.cern.ch%2Fevent%2F1338824%2F&data=05%7C01%7C%7Cbb4e0f0a8cf04eea8bd408dbd0be4540%7C569df091b01340e386eebd9cb9e25814%7C0%7C0%7C638333287980968897%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=V%2BT98YghYuqCZ5fEL6B3nV%2FtDCn%2BXoYsCs%2B2O7rD%2BQk%3D&reserved=0>
If anyone would like to request any other technical meetings (especially if they are non-DC24 related!), feel free to ask me!
Thanks, and I will hopefully speak to some people tomorrow about confluence.
Alastair
