Hi everyone,
Throughout December and January I will be promoting my new edited book: ‘Mountain Biking, Culture and Society’ (due out in February 2024). If this book is of interest to you or a colleague/student, you might want to consider booking on to one of the sessions outlined below.
On 7th December between 7-9 PM BST the Space and Place group at Sheffield Hallam will be hosting the first book launch online. You can book onto this session here:
Exploring #4: On Your Bike - https://lukebennett13.wordpress.com/2023/10/13/sheffield-hallam-university-space-place-group-exploring-4-on-your-bike-online-event-thursday-7-december-2023-7-9-30pm/
Then, on 18th January between 6-8 BST, I will be doing a workshop-style event in conjunction with the advocacy group Peak District MTB. This will be a hybrid event, and will take place both on campus at Sheffield Hallam (room+location to follow) and online via Zoom. In the event that you are able to attend this event in person, it is likely that there will be an organised ride in the Peak District National Park on the day of the workshop. You can book on to this event here:

Both sessions will include 3 different contributors from the collection, and elaborate on case studies from different international contexts, so feel free to attend both if you think they may be relevant.
I look forward to seeing you there.
Jim Cherrington
