***With apologies for cross-posting***
We have a mixed collection of courses for you in November. As usual the Power hours last for an hour, packed full of useful and practical content to bring you up to speed on the given subject. At the end of the hour speakers will be happy to answer questions, and a copy of the training session will be made available to you after the session. For more information about each session, please follow the tinyurl link to the relevant page on
Eventbrite. And if you have questions about any of our Power Hours, please email us.
The courses are:
Creating amazing video content with Canva Power Hour with Bev Humphrey (Friday 3rd November
2023 12:00-13:00) During this session you will learn how to create impactful videos with Canva. This course was very well received the first time that we ran it and Bev is an exceptionally well skilled user of Canva. I learned a lot when I sat in on the session - I hadn't appreciated how useful and easy it was to use until Bev showed us. If you're going to be producing videos for any reason at all, it's worth an hour of your time.

NEW AI prompt engineering and plug-ins Power Hour with Phil Bradley (Friday 10th November
2023 12:00-13:00) Learn more about Chatbots, what they can do, what they can’t do (and why!) and
how to write good prompts. I'm running this course because - while I talk about ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Bard on my other AI courses I can't go into as much detail as I want to. So I've decided to spend an hour looking at these tools, and will focus particularly on what you can do with the professional version of ChatGPT, so if you have been on the fence about subscribing you'll find this helpful. https://tinyurl.com/4c8nmphu
NEW An introduction to using UX in libraries Power Hour with Ned Potter (Friday 17th November
2023 12:00-13:00) User Experience (UX) in this context is used as an umbrella term to cover various
ethnographic and design techniques, designed to help us truly understand our users. Ned really is the 'go to' person for user experience, and he's extremely well informed on the subject and his courses are always helpful, informative and packed full of good content, delivered in his engaging and friendly style.
