Please see below this CFP from the California Institute of Integral Studies for its Enquiry | Inquiry summer 2024 conference themes.

ENQUIRY | INQUIRY - CFP

June 10-12, 2024
San Francisco + Virtual
Abstracts due December 1st, 2023 (Round One)

https://amps-research.com/san-francisco-enquiry-inquiry/

Inquiry is another way of saying curiosity, and in the hybridity of contemporary education curiosity about one’s work and world are related and valuable to each other. Engaging inquiry can be a discrete act (a way to ask specific questions) and a way to probe larger contexts: What educational environments allow a question to thrive so it becomes an on-going reference point for one’s work, whether that be learning, research, cultural critique or art and design practice? Can inquiry become the framework for learning and the life of the individual? Can it support different types of learning and teaching, and how does it affect how and why one practices ones work outside academia?

Influences on Inquiry are various. They may include: teachers, peer learners, other professionals, bodies of work, popular cultures, contemporary issues, a specific time in history, social action or movements. So what does one need to probe to be able to fully realize one’s eduational journey work.

Education can offer a culture of inquiry that allows one to not only further develop one’s work after formal learning, but also better articulate it. Inquiry and articulation, like observation and reflection, are complementary actions that lead to meaning-making in the practice/production process.

In exploring these ideas, this conference key theme will be open to scholars and practitioners from multiple fields.
