*****with apologies for cross posting - information for UG geographers*****
Dear Colleagues
We’re delighted to be running a second Use Geography: Webinar Series - helping geography students find out more about the many career opportunities opened up by studying geography.
In each session, a panel of geographers working within a particular sector will explain how and why they pursued their chosen career, and share advice on how to get started. From careers in government, to climate action, transport, international development and local community roles, as well as many others, each session is accompanied by advice, further reading and helpful links.
Join us for the first session on Wednesday 25 October at 12-1pm. The first session is on Climate Action jobs. Register here: Use geography: careers in climate action related roles - https://www.rgs.org/events/upcoming-events/use-geography-careers-in-climate-action-related-roles
You will hear from:
• Rachel Devine – Senior Analyst at WRAP
• Meghna Bhattacharya - Sustainability and Placemaking Executive at Placemaking London
• Rebecca Quinn - Knowledge Exchange Manager at Satellite Applications Catapult
• Kristy Holder – People Engagement Co-ordinator – Natur am Byth
These sessions will help you learn more about the many possibilities studying geography opens up for your career. Whether you are a first year undergraduate or nearing graduation, the knowledge shared by panellists will be useful for entering the world of work.
