Leeds Trinity University is embarking on an exciting period of growth and is seeking an External Academic Panel Member for an upcoming approval event for a new qualifying MA Social Work course.
The External Academic Panel Member will need to be available on 28th November 2023 to attend an in-person event at Leeds Trinity University, Horsforth.
Applicants should be a qualified social worker registered with Social Work England (SWE) and working in an UK HEI environment to provide expertise. Experience in approval/review processes internally and/or externally, in addition to external examinership activity, is preferred but not essential (guidance and support can be provided). Applicants should be familiar with SWE accreditation requirements, quality assurance processes and be involved in the delivery of PG social work, or related, provision within their institution.
The External Academic Panel Member will consider the following:
• The rationale for, coherence and currency of, the provision
• Programme and module aims and learning outcomes
• Suitability of the placement arrangements
• Student access and support
• Consistency and clarity of the programme documentation
• Compliance and adherence to relevant strategies, frameworks and national points of reference, including the requirements of SWE.

The University will pay a fee of £250 plus all reasonable expenses for the role.
