The University of Northampton is looking for an External Examiner for LLB (Hons) Law and Legal Practice to cover Level 4, 5 and Level 6 modules with our Partner Institution, Bloomsbury Institute.
The role will cover:
• Level 4: Legal Method and Systems
• Level 5; Law of Tort
• Level 6; Civil Litigation and Client Care, Legal Internship & Dissertation
The role is for a collaborative provision delivered by Bloomsbury Institute in London; approved by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and Bar Standards Board as a Qualifying Law Degree, exempting graduates from the academic stage of training for those intending to qualify as a solicitor or barrister of England and Wales, as well as by the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx).
We are looking for someone:
• who is suitably qualified with expertise in the above areas, ideally a Programme Leader or Senior Lecturer on similar programmes.
• previous experience as an external examiner is preferred but not essential
The appointment will be for the four academic years 2023 to 2027, from (1 October 2023, or immediate start if appointing after 1 October 2023).
