Dear all
We have two BBSRC funded PhD positions available in our group, one each for the following two projects.
In the first project we will use cryoEM and single molecule FRET to understand the initial steps of organellar replication in Plasmodium (https://www.findaphd.com/phds/project/white-rose-bbsrc-dtp-molecular-mechanism-of-organellar-replication-initiation-in-plasmodium-falciparum/?p160894). This is a collaborative project between my lab (https://sites.google.com/sheffield.ac.uk/lahirilab/) and the Craggs lab Chemistry (https://craggs-lab.com/). If you are interested to apply then please get in touch with me ([log in to unmask]) or Dr. Tim Craggs ([log in to unmask]).
The second is geared towards understanding the structural organisation of eRNAs and how the native cellular environment might alter this organisation (https://www.findaphd.com/phds/project/white-rose-bbsrc-dtp-cryoem-and-structural-mapping-of-gene-regulatory-non-coding-rnas/?p160790). This is a collaborative project between the Bose lab (https://bose-lab.org/) and my group (https://sites.google.com/sheffield.ac.uk/lahirilab/). If you are interested to apply then please get in touch with Dr. Dan Bose ([log in to unmask]) or myself ([log in to unmask]).
Both positions are fully funded for 4 years and will start from October 2024.
Cheers,
Indrajit
