New Research Fellow in Mixed-Methods Research role with the Rapid Research Evaluation and Appraisal Lab (RREAL)
The main aims of the job will be to lead the analysis of BRIGHTLIGHT data. The post-holder will contribute to the analysis and visualisation of big datasets with a specific focus on the BRIGHTLIGHT dataset, which is a longitudinal dataset derived from teenagers and young adults with cancer. This is the most comprehensive dataset from young people with cancer globally, comprising of patient-reported outcome, patient experience and health economic data, linked to cancer registry and hospital episode statistics data. Data were collected on newly diagnosed young people between 2012 and 2017. A key aspect of this role will be to contribute to the development and delivery of RREAL’s Big Qualitative Data strategy. They will join regular RREAL core team meetings and other relevant project-specific meetings and be comfortable presenting project reports to stakeholders. The role will also include administrative tasks, such as the development of documentation for the handover of the dashboard to the client, the cross-checking of data analysis tools, the development of materials for different types of dissemination and grant writing. This is a part-time 0.4FTE (14.6 hours per week post) funded for 12 months in the first instance and the maximum salary available is £39,508 pro rata, per annum inclusive of London Allowance.
