Call for Papers for a new book: "An Agenda for Sustainable Development Research"
The Research and Transfer Centre "Sustainable Development and Climate Change Management" https://www.haw-hamburg.de/en/ftz-nk/ is a world leader in matters related to sustainability research. It has produced some ground-breaking publications on sustainable development such as: the Encyclopedia of Sustainability in Higher Education https://link.springer.com/referencework/10.1007/978-3-319-63951-2, the Handbook of Best Practices in Sustainable Development at University Level https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-031-04764-0, and the Encyclopedia of the UN Sustainable Development Goals https://www.springer.com/series/15893.
The latest volume, the Handbook of Sustainability Science in the Future, has just been launched: https://link.springer.com/referencework/10.1007/978-3-030-68074-9.
Together with the Inter-University Sustainable Development Research Programme https://www.haw-hamburg.de/en/ftz-nk/programmes/iusdrp/, the European School of Sustainability Science and Research https://esssr.eu/, and the UK Consortium on Sustainability Research https://www.mmu.ac.uk/research/research-centres/ecology-environment/groups/zero-carbon-sustainable-futures/UK-CSR, the Centre is producing a new book, to which expressions of interest are now invited.
The publication, titled "An Agenda for Sustainable Development Research" intends to outline the items to be considered, in designing an agenda for future sustainability research. We are looking for scholarly research, case studies, practical projects and other initiatives which -together- may compose an agenda for the further development of sustainable development research, worldwide. The book will be published in the World Sustainability Series, which is Scopus indexed and is the leading book series on matters related to sustainable development: https://www.springer.com/series/13384. Over 3.000 authors have taken advantage of the publishing opportunity the series offers. Publications as part of it have counted over the years for the promotion and tenure of hundreds of colleagues.
Expressions of interest to contribute to the book, initially consisting of a 200 words abstract describing the concept of the paper, and with the full details of the authors, should be sent to: [log in to unmask] An online specialist workshop will be organised with the selected authors, who may present and discuss their work.
The deadline for abstracts is 30th September 2023. The deadline for full papers is 20th December 2023. The details on the requirements for full papers, and to attend the workshop, will be shared with the selected authors.
