Hello all,
Tomorrow (4th July) at 1pm (until 3pm), we'll be hosting a PhD student from Northumbria University who will be giving a talk on his research regarding frameworks for Mixed Reality (VR and AR) experiences for public engagement in museum spaces. Although the talk will be focussed on use cases specific to the Natural History Museum, the purpose is to present findings as they might relate for broader application. I think this will be of interest to anyone intrigued about:
• how MR technologies might be practically applied in our spaces
• benefits and pitfalls for key audiences
• approaches to understanding and measuring impact of experiential technologies
The presentation will be hosted on Teams at the following link: https://teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-join/19%3ameeting_NjNjN2YwMjgtMGM4OC00MmU3LWI1MGQtZjgyYjMwY2M5MDMx%40thread.v2/0?context=%7b%22Tid%22%3a%2273a29c01-4e78-437f-a0d4-c8553e1960c1%22%2c%22Oid%22%3a%226af01853-08b0-46c5-a20a-ac138f59a501%22%7d
I am more than happy to forward the calendar invite to you, if that is more convenient - just send a note to [log in to unmask] :)
Kind regards,
Florence Okoye
