Dear colleagues,
We at the Hub for Education for Refugees in Europe (HERE) at the University of Nottingham are pleased to launch our call for applications from early career researchers for our week-long residential in Tuscany this November, 'HERE for Academic Activism in Refugee Education in Europe'.
The residential offers a space for reflection and tailored support, training and guidance on mobilising your academic research to effect change. The training team consists of experts from within European migration and education who will help you to design a project for delivery in your chosen locality, with training covering topics such as place-based work, policy advocacy and academic activism.
All accommodation and meals, plus transfer to and from Florence airport, will be provided free for this five-day programme. Participants should be able to fund their travel to Florence. After the residential, you will continue to meet with your fellow HERE academic activists in short webinars, to compare progress with project implementation.
If you are interested, please check this link for more information such as the eligibility criteria and how to apply: https://hubhere.org/opportunities/call-for-participants-here-for-academic-activism-in-refugee-education-in-europe-tuscany-residential/
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with Professor Joanna McIntyre ([log in to unmask]).
Deadline for applications 6th October 2023. We look forward to receiving them.
Warmly,
Lucy Hunt
(On behalf of the HERE team)
