Dear Research Group Chairs, Secretaries and Treasurers,
We would be very grateful if you could forward this email on and encourage members to complete the survey. We know many are away right now, but this is open for 3 months and we will be circulating again later. All contributions appreciated. The focus is UK academic Geography.
Thank-you,
Catherine (Souch)
Dear All,
Hope you are well.
We are writing to announce the launch of an online survey which is part of a wider project that seeks to address people's experiences of precarity across UK academic Geography. Indeed, the use of fixed-term contracts is widespread in UK HE Geography but it's effects (long & short term) are not well understood.
In conjunction with the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG), we are interested in capturing a range of experiences - from PhD students to Professors. You do not need to be on a fixed-term contract to participate. If you work in UK Academic Geography, or have done in the past, we want to hear from you. Positive or negative, your experiences matter in understanding states of precarity & in working towards best/better practice.

The survey should take 15-20mins to complete and will run until 24 October 2023.
If you have any questions please get in touch with the research team via the project website.
Please also foward this email on to interested people/commuities of scholars.
