Dear all
We have been using RNIB Bookshare at UEA for a number of years now, but so far we have almost exclusively used it to sign up students. We would like to expand this to include staff, but are unsure of how to proceed in terms of signing people up and remaining GDPR compliant. When we sign up students it is as a result of a referral from Student Support, who tell us which of the qualifying disabilities apply. For various reasons we would be unable to do anything similar with HR/Occupational Health.
We would be really interested from hearing from the community about;
- Your processes for signing up University Staff to RNIB Bookshare
- How you obtain and record details of qualifying disability
- How you maintain accurate records in terms of staff leavers, particularly those who do not have a fixed term contract
With best wishes
Jess Daly
