Mario #Kaiser
Mario Kaiser is a European architect and Senior Project Manager based in London with extensive experience in the design and management of high-profile projects. In his 10 years at Ove Arup, he has managed award-winning projects such as Herzog & deMeuron's Laban Centre in London. For the London 2012 Olympic Games, he joined the ODA in 2007 as Principal Design Advisor.
Mario was also involved in Expo Milano 2015, where he led the in-house project team of over 50 architects and engineers to design and build a programme of around 20 projects.
Mario leads the research team of EVENT-able, a database and network of over 100 global events since 2004, which are explored, analysed and classified according to the nature of the spectacle such as Sport, Culture, Economy and Religion.
Roberto Daneo
He graduated with honours in Political Economics from Bocconi University and also holds a Master in 'Management Publique' from the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
He holds a teaching post at Bocconi University, in the Master in Tourism Management. He has held official positions at the Milan Chamber of Commerce and, from 1993 to 2001, he was an official at the European Commission.
His 20 years of experience in the candidature/organisation of major international events and in the development of tourism and cultural projects for the enhancement of the territory has matured in various positions.

Valerio della Sala PhD
Valerio della Sala is an urban geographer and post-doctoral research fellow at the Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna since 2022. His academic research covers general topics on urban planning, #human geography, environment, landscape and urban culture, including applied projects on sport, spatial policy and retrofitting of urban space and cultural regeneration programme. His main research interests concern the critical analysis of #mega-events in relation to #territorial #transformation and #local #development.
Egidio Dansero
Egidio Dansero, full professor of #Political and Economic Geography at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Turin, carries out research activities within the Dipartimento Interateneo Territorio of the Politecnico di Torino and the University of Turin. Director of the School of Legal, Political and Economic Social Sciences and Deputy Vice Rector for Sustainability and Development Cooperation. Since 2000 Egidio has been in charge of the research line on Olympics, major events, sport and cities.
