THE POETRY KIT SPRING COMPETITION 2023
This year's competition is for poetry on any subject.

There are no style or length restrictions, but it should be stressed that a short poem is just as likely to be selected as a longer one.

1st prize value is £220 Competition closes Midnight 21st June 2023

Competition Judge; Lucy Turnbull, former editor of Optimum Poetry Magazine. Lucy says "I want to read poems that are surprising and use unique and exciting images. It does not matter what the subject is but I want to feel that this is different and I am gaining something from the poem, an insight or another persons viewpoint which makes this poem special.".

MENTORING FOR POETS THROUGH POETRY KIT

For over forty years Jim Bennett has been teaching and mentoring poets many have gone on to be published in magazines and anthologies around the world, win competitions and have collections of their poetry published.

Even if you just want to improve your writing on a personal level, or learn new techniques or how to adapt poetic devices, or to find your own voice, we can help you to achieve that.

If you want to see more of your poetry getting into print, to understand what editors are looking for, to know that your poetry is as good as it can be, we can help you achieve that.

If you need help putting together a booklet or collection, we can help you achieve that.

All mentoring is personal and conducted by Jim Bennett, the length of time taken will depend on response times from students, but each programme consists of 10 units we allow up to nine months for the completion of the programme although it can be completed in. The cost of individual mentoring by Jim Bennett is £110 but places are limited. For further details or to enrol on this programme, go to https://www.poetrykit.org/pkcourse/pkcourses_ment.htm
