Dear scholars and readers,
Our mission to make our most relevant publications available to an even wider audience has brought forth a new publication in affordable paperback:
Taking Stock – Twenty-Five Years of Comparative Literary Research (https://brill.com/display/title/55679), by N. Bachleitner, A. H. Hölter and J. A. McCarthy.
This volume focuses on recurrent questions in the field of Comparative Literature and reaches the conclusion that this subject contributes to a sense of being at home in a world that is heterogeneous and fractured. Furthermore, the book combines essays on world literature, literature in the context of the history of ideas, comparative women and gender studies, aesthetics and textual analysis, and literary translation and tradition.
The volume is part of the longstanding book series, Internationale Forschungen zur Allgemeinen und Vergleichenden Literaturwissenschaft (www.brill.com/FAVL), which is a platform for peer reviewed, scholarly research in comparative literature studies with a Eurocentric focus. This series explores a variety of topics and concepts, across a broad disciplinary spectrum, such as ethnic-minority literature, cosmopolitanisms and postcolonialism.
Does your research align with this series’ scope and would you like to contribute with your own perspective?
Authors are warmly invited to submit their book proposals, article proposals, and any additional inquiries about publishing with us to the Senior Acquisitions Editor at Brill, Masja Horn ([log in to unmask]).
