Dear scholars and readers,
Brill is enthusiastic to announce another captivating volume in the prolific Foro Hispánico series (www.brill.com/FORO): Locura y trauma en la ficción centroamericana reciente (https://brill.com/display/title/62365).
The author offers a meticulous and innovative analysis of the intersections between madness and trauma in recent Central American literature on (post)war. The aim of this work is to show that talking about madness does not necessarily lead to stigmatizing victims of political violence or disqualifying their stories about traumatic experiences. According to the writer, including madness on the research agenda in the field of memory studies in Latin America is fundamental.
The book is published in the long-standing book series Foro Hispánico, which offers a forum for research that focuses on how cultural and literary practices give and shape the global challenges that occur in the Spanish-speaking world. The series also encourages studies that cross disciplines and national borders.
Would you like to contribute with your own perspective?
The Foro Hispánico series welcomes proposals in both English and Spanish. Authors are warmly invited to submit their book proposals to the Senior Acquisitions Editor at Brill, Masja Horn ([log in to unmask]).
